25 march 2009

UNIASTRUM BANK and the Moscow Administration signed another cooperation agreement (for 2009-2010) in the framework of which the Bank intends to invest in the economy of the city over RUR 1.7 bln.

On March 18, 2009, the “Program of cooperation between UNIASTRUM BANK and Moscow Administration for 2009-2010” was signed. UNIASTRUM BANK will keep lending to Moscow businesses in 11 priority sectors.

In the framework of the “Complex Program of Industrial Activities” UNIASTRUM BANK will finance development of production capacities of industrial enterprises of the city to the total amount of RUR 500 mln.

The bigger portion on funds will be allocated for support of small businesses. According to the “Complex Program of Development and Support of Small Businesses” the loans to be granted to small businesses will amount to RUR 600 mln. (inter alia, under guarantee of the Moscow Small Business Lending Support Fund).

Support to the life-sustaining activities of the city is a priority specified in the Program. The Bank will allocate over a half-billion rubles for the “Program of development of mortgage lending in Moscow”, “Program of the Housing & Utilities Infrastructure Reform” and others.

UNIASTRUM BANK will allocate over RUR 50 mln. for development of the social sphere and charity – in particular, to support Moscow state universities and social programs of Moscow and municipal prefectures. As compared to the 2007-2008 Program, the funding volume was increased by 10 times.

“This Program is a logical continuation of our work and an example of a successful cooperation of the Moscow Administration, businesses and UNIASTRUM BANK,” director of the Governmental Bodies Cooperation Dept Igor Apostolov observes. For example, issue of loans to small businesses to the amount of almost RUR 1 bln. under guarantees by the Moscow Small Business Lending Assistance Fund became one of the results of implementation of the Program in 2007-2008. We hope that the 2009-2010 Program will allow to UNIASTRUM BANK to participate more actively in the economic, social and cultural life of the city.
