In September 2008 a unique project of UNIASTRUM BANK and Rosbank was launched: an integrated ATM network comprising over 2300 ATMs in the whole of Russia.

The own ATM network of UNIASTRUM BANK comprised over 670 ATMs in Russia before implementation of the project. The project was developed and implemented jointly with the United Settlement Systems company engaged in servicing the Rosbank ATMs. As a result of the agreement, the processing centers of both banks have been integrated in one technological system. Now the number of ATMs of the integrated ATM system exceeds 2300 in all Russia. For the integrated UNIASTRUM BANK-Rosbank ATM network a single tariff agreement was concluded. The fee for withdrawal of cash funds in the integrated ATM network constitutes from 0.5% for the cards of both banks which is significantly lower than the market value of withdrawal of cash in ATMs of third-party banks.

“This project is especially important for the regions where we do not have so many ATMs per city as compared to Moscow, Vice President for the Card Business Development of UNIASTRUM BANK Oleg Shvetsov stated. Switching to the Integrated settlement system we have substantially expanded the ATM network in many cities where the cards business is developing in high gear. Now the UNIASTRUM BANK clients may use the ATMs of Rosbank, and on the contrary.

“This project is unique, nothing of the kind has been implemented in Russia so far, the Chairman of the Management Board of UNIASTRUM BANK Pavel Neumyvakin stated. This project was approved of by the Central Bank of Russia. Other banks have expressed the desire to be switched to the integrated ATM network. So the number of banks in this system will keep growing. And very soon we will be able to say that the National ATM network the foundation of which we have laid is in place”.
